Reporting to the Director of Childcare, this position is responsible for the needs of all the residents in the RTC, while providing direct and specific supervision for the dorms to which he/she is assigned. The Residential Administrator is expected to exemplify the agency’s values and to reflect the Green Chimneys Philosophy of Care in the delivery of services to all residents and families at Green Chimneys. Some specific duties include: monitoring the implementation of residential services, mentoring new staff, tracking of physical restraints and coordinating restraint prevention efforts, ensuring timely delivery of all required paperwork (supervisory sessions, disciplinary forms, performance appraisals, dorm inspections, work orders, clothing inventory, etc.), providing oversight of Animal Assisted activities and special programs, and representing the department in agency groups and committees as assigned. The Residential Administrator will also handle post-crisis responses, coordination of the SAFE level and ratings systems, and peer supervisions.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field is required; Master’s Degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience working in a residential setting, along with 3 years of supervisory experience is also required. Must have valid driver’s license and be certified in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training or able to become a TCI Trainer within the first year of employment.
