Youth Counselor

Job Responsibilities:
Working in our Residential Treatment Center, the Youth Counselor directly supervises and is accountable for the residents at all times while on duty. The Youth Counselor will provide a safe, clean, attractive physical environment for the residents, while following the living unit routine. This position will also show competence in supervising residents on off-grounds trips, plan and supervise age appropriate recreational activities for residents, develop positive working relationships with unit staff, and understand the concept of team work. The ideal candidate must be able to work collaboratively with other departments throughout the agency in order to help youth attain goals as defined in their individual treatment plans.

Shifts are from 2pm-12am and include weekends. Flexible schedule preferred as shift hours may vary. This position is full-time, working 40 hours each week. Pay begins at 12.50 an hour.
Job Qualifications:
Youth Counselor II: HS Diploma or equivalent and 1-5 years of related experience
Youth Counselor III: Bachelor's or Associate's Degree and 3-5 years of related experience
Youth Counselor IV: Associate's/Bachelor's Degree and 7 years of related experience

Satisfactory completion of agency requirements (reference checks, DMV reference check, SCR, drug screening, and agency driver course).
