The RN is responsible for maintaining the health and safety of residents and is responsible to assure that all heath standards are maintained as mandated by law and agency regulations. He/she is responsible for integration of the medical/nursing component of the program with overall treatment planning. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: Responsible for assisting in medical Quality Assurance and Utilization Review, scheduling all admission nursing and dietary assessments and laboratory work-ups, reviewing immunization records, and scheduling follow-up appointments and charting results, coordinating admission physical assessments and dental consultations, scheduling admission and annual dental screening, vision and hearing evaluations, administering medications per doctor's orders, providing or arranging for health care services, as necessary, compiling and maintaining a registry of consultants to provide necessary treatment, participating as member of Treatment Team and facilitating coordination of medical objectives by line staff and maintaining an effective communication system with staff as necessary for adequate provision of medical care. This position is per diem and is not benefit eligible. Shifts will be mornings working either 6am to 2pm or 7am to 3pm, as needed.
What you bring to Green Chimneys:
Three years of experience and one years' experience working with children/youth is preferred, but will consider college graduates with less experience. NYS Registered Nursing License is required. Can be RN/LPN.
Rate of pay: $20.17-$30.00 per hour DOE and certification.
