The main role of the Head Counselor will be to supervise program/staff and be the liaison between the Camp Director and camp staff. In addition to the responsibilities of a Camp Counselor, the Head Counselor will be responsible for the following: supervise daily attendance and group coordination, recognize, respond to and log individual and group needs, problems or injuries, inform Camp Supervisor of any camper/counselor problems, attend weekly scheduled meetings with supervisor, monitor counselors during activity time and ensure they are participating where necessary. Head Counselors will also assist counselors with special activities or games, instruct counselors in emergency procedures, fire drills etc., plan and implement section group activities, supervise early or late care as assigned, evaluate section staff, assist in the training of all staff, and plan staff activities. Must live onsite. Previous camp experience in a supervisory role is preferred.
Must be available May 22nd - end of August 2022. A resume is required for the application process. Must be 21 years of age. At least one year of experience in a camp setting working with children is required, along with one to two years of leadership experience in some capacity. Positions are available at Hillside and Clearpool locations.
