Social Services in our Community Based Services Department is offering two internships (when available). One at the undergraduate level and one at the graduate level.

Both programs will participate in the following activities including extensive supervision. The graduate level internship will have a larger caseload of clients and have activities that are more independent.

During the internships, candidates will be meeting with community youth ages 6 to 21 years of age. It is a 15-20 hour a week placement which may include flexible hours including possible evenings. Some of your activities will include:

  • Counseling and/or case management for a caseload of several clients
  • Keep updated client files and progress notes
  • Help plan activities for youth at the Outreach Center

 

What you bring to Green Chimneys:

Undergraduate internship requires candidates be enrolled in their senior year while pursuing their bachelor's degree in a social services field.

Graduate level internship requires that candidates are in their first or second year of a master’s program in the social services field.
