The Psychologist is responsible for the administration and interpretation of all psychometric tests and projective protocols.  In addition, the Psychologist is responsible for keeping all student testing current; ensuring each student is tested routinely every three years, or as requested.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer and interpret student psychometric tests and projective protocols.
  • Track and keep all testing current.  Each student to be tested routinely every 3 years, or as requested
  • Administer psychological testing upon admission, if needed, and prior to discharge
  • Prepare written reports of test results and recommendations for treatment
  • Meet with teams, academic teacher/counselors, social workers, etc. to discuss and interpret testing and how it relates to student current treatment needs
  • Participate on Response to Intervention team and provide clinical consultation for teachers, social workers, and other staff members
  • Keep abreast of current literature in the field and help treatment teams understand its relevance and application to the treatment provided to our students
  • Meet with educational diagnostician, speech therapists, and other clinical service providers to assist with clinical service application
  • Attend and participate in treatment reviews, Red Flags and CSE meetings and any other meetings required to support child treatment
  • Co-facilitate Social Emotional Learning groups and/or other clinical groups
  • Meet with parents to discuss child’s progress/treatment
  • Conduct FBA/BIPs according to NYSED guidelines and Green Chimneys procedural protocol
  • Chair Initial Case Conferences (II, III, IV)
What you bring to Green Chimneys:
Requirements:
Master degree in Psychology with Permanent NYS School Psychologist Certification or Master's in Psychology with Provisional NYS School Psychologist Certification, Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.)/ABD/
4 years post-Masters experience or NYS licensure in Psychology.

Pay rate $66,216- $80,542 DOE Competitive Benefits.
