Boni Bel Farm Maintenance Worker

Under the direct supervision of the Farm Program Manager and being accountable to the Vice President of Nature Based Programming, the Boni Bel Farm Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining the safety, appearance and functionality of the farm buildings, gardens, animal areas and surrounding grounds of the Boni Bel campus with minimal supervision.
What you bring to Green Chimneys:

Education/Experience:

  • Experience in basic carpentry, fence repair, plumbing maintenance, etc.
  • Experience and skill in maintaining and using farm equipment
  • Experience in farm and garden grounds keeping and using associated equipment
  • Experience driving a livestock trailer

Licensure/Certification:

  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • DOT License or ability to attain such
Must maintain required training in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention 

Physical/Mental Requirements (ADA Compliance):

  • In order to perform the essential duties of the job, the incumbent must be able to speak, hear, see and type
  • Must have the ability to work long hours, in a hectic environment, often under pressure.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty pounds on a regular basis
  • Must have mobility to work and cope in a farm environment in all types of weather related conditions, all throughout the year
  • Must be able to lift, carry, stoop, kneel, push, pull and climb

Hourly pay is $16.50-$22.00 depending on experience
