The Adventure Program Coordinator will be the head of all programming that takes place at the ropes courses, climbing tower, and boating activities at the great swamp. The Program Coordinator is primarily in charge of adventure programming done for all students in the Therapeutic Day School and Residential Treatment Center. Additional responsibilities will include training and ensuring that all individuals who utilize these facilities are properly trained to perform these activities safety, facilitating a large variety of Recreation programming, which will include teambuilding activities, camping trips, athletic and gym activities, aquatic and pool activities, creative arts, diversional programs, group socialization activities, special events, and other assigned responsibilities.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Outdoor Education or acceptable equivalent preferred. Applicants with extensive experience will be considered.
• 3 or more years’ experience in Adventure Programming externally or 2 years or more internal candidate, including: high & low ropes, rock climbing, hiking and boating.
• Able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of the challenging course standards put forth by the Association of Challenge Course Technology (ACCT)

This is a salaried position $43,290 per year with competitive benefits.
