Summer General Camp Counselor II

 The Camp Counselor will provide a fun, supportive and warm atmosphere where campers can improve their individual potential, gain understanding of others, experience new ideas and develop an appreciation for the environment. This position must be a good role model for campers, develop relationships with each camper within the group, promote positive group interaction, follow established procedures for maintaining campers health and safety, work together with other staff to plan and schedule weekly activities, and other related duties as directed by the Head Counselor or Camp Supervisor.

Must be at least 18 years of age and have one year of college/post high school experience. Energy and enthusiasm for long days, a desire to work with children outdoors, prior experience working with children, teens or adults in similar setting, outdoor living skills and/or environmental background, ability to accept guidance and supervision, and a willingness to work with and learn from people from different cultures and backgrounds are all essential skills for this position. CPR and advanced First Aid are desired upon starting.

Salary: Starting rate of $85 per day.

 International applicants’ salary is based on sponsoring agencies pocket money agreement and/or experience. Stipend range between $1300 - $2800 for the summer season. Room and board is also provided to international staff for the duration of the season.
